Getting Ready for Sundance “Boots and Jacket”

It’s so fun when January comes around because that means the “Sundance Film Festival” is on the horizon, and I get to pick out new (or out of my closet) stuff to take with me. This year I needed a new pair of snow boots and went with these cute one’s from Sorel. They are water proof and so warm.  Not to mention I got them at a sale price of $79! They are normally priced at $160. So, because I was shopping for boots I had to take a look at the jackets on sale and found this gem.  This a PENDLETON jacket (made in the USA) at a price of $179. This jacket normally runs about $500.  Great quality and super cozy!  I have to say that I really had my mind set on a new “Canada Goose Jacket” and this one is the closest to it without the big price tag.

Rainy Day Go-To’s

Rainy days can easily make you want to curl up under a blanket with a good book, but they can also be a great opportunity to try out some new looks. Here in California, where we average 260 sunny days a year, a gloomy day is sometimes welcomed treat. It gives me the opportunity to pull my Wellies out from the back of my closet and head out puddle hopping… maybe not exactly puddle hopping, more like trekking the kids through the mud back and forth to school. There are usually puddles involved, so technically I still am puddle hopping, right?

Boho Sundress and Boots

At the first sign of cooler weather, I rush to my closet to pick out a new fall outfit.  Here in the Bay Area fall days can still be quite warm, but evenings and mornings are chilly.  Layering is key!  I love the sundress’s deep fall colors.  This sleeveless dress that I found at Anthropolie let’s me feel cool during the day, but still pairs great with a sweater and a pair of boots for when the temperature starts to drop .  …

Striped Skirt and Hats

Let me first tell you that the dark tights that I’m wearing in these photo’s have always been a favorite go to accessory. But hats are a new thing for me, I’ve been starting to wear them more and more for the last two years and love them.
