Summer Linens

Until recently I didn’t own anything made from linen.  I have always shied away from it because of it’s reputation of being a high maintenance fabric.  I mean seriously, it’s prone to wrinkles, most garments are hand-wash only, and it needs to be line dried. 
Who has time for that!?  Well…one hot and humid day I was shopping at TJ Maxx, (one of my favorites) and came across a rack of adorable linen dresses and decided to try them on. I finally realized why this this fabric may be worth all the hassle.  I loved these dresses so much that I ended up buying three! Yikes!  I wore them nearly every day during my most recent trip back to Indiana where it was hot and humid during most of our trip. These dresses kept me cool and comfortable.  Linen is awesome at absorbing moisture and drying out quickly.  I also want to mention that is starts to feel softer each time it is washed.  I guess it is official, I am now a true linen convert.  Below are a few of my favorite linen dresses and Tiffany’s favorite linen pants.

Dubrovnik Croatia “My Number One Favorite Place to Travel”

Places to GO, people to SEE, a constant GO GO GO, but I leave that all behind (in Silicon Valley) when I go to beautiful Dubrovnik, Croatia.

So I’m starting out by telling you all about my first trip to Croatia back in 2004. There I was driving from the airport on the highway looking down from the cliffs onto the crystal blue waters; trying to soak it all in and not really knowing what to expect.  Then as we were coming around a corner, you suddenly see OLD TOWN – Dubrovnik – blossoming from the water.  AMAZING!  Words cannot express how beautiful it was for me to see.  They don’t call it the Pearl of the Adriatic for nothing….

Jimmy Choo in the CITY!

I love ME some “Jimmy Choo shoes” and they look even better while walking around the city. These particular ones I picked up in Milan, Italy last summer on sale. Normally I would stay a little more true to a classic style when buying such an expensive shoe. But, I couldn’t help myself, I really loved them and have worn them so much since bringing them home last July.
